David Njoku Njoku is one of the longest-tenured players on the team, so kudos to him for wanting to stay where it all started for him and help the team become a winner. Logically, however, it doesn't make a lot of sense for him to do so. First and foremost, Harold Fannin Jr. took over as the team's primary weapon in the passing game around midseason. Perhaps just as importantly, there are at least 10 teams where he would serve as a huge upgrade, so he should have a nice market. Last but not least, Cleveland's late-season surge means it will be selecting at No. 6 overall in the 2026 NFL Draft, which might be too low to grab a blue-chip quarterback in what is shaping up to be a weak draft overall.
