TE Nagging Injuries/Suspensions

Bartholomew, Gavin - MIN

Bartholomew, Gavin

Dynasty Outlook: Bartholomew took my curiosity captive during the NFL Draft process. His film and athleticism didn't make his lackluster analytical profile. He has an 8.8 RAS score, a 4.7 40-yard dash, an 89th percentile 3-cone, and 91st percentile or higher vertical and broad jumps. This type of athletic ability shows up on his film as he has good bend in his routes and displays decent ball tracking in a limited sample. Bartholomew has intriguing movement skills that give hints that another evolution of his game could occur at the next level. The Vikings selected him in the sixth round of the NFL Draft. He's currently the TE3 on the Vikings depth chart, but he could be the backup to T.J. Hockenson next year as Josh Oliver is a free agent after this season. In tight-end premium formats or deep leagues, he's worth a taxi squad spot.

Reiman, Tip - ARI

Reiman, Tip

Tip Reiman the potential No. 2 TE behind Trey McBride in Arizona

Tip Reiman could be the No. 2 TE behind Trey McBride in Arizona this season.

Reiman was drafted No. 82 overall by the Cardinals back in April. He is unlikely to be on the fantasy radar as long as McBride is healthy.

Sanders, Ja'Tavion - CAR

Sanders, Ja

Ja'Tavion Sanders hauls in three passes in Week 18

Ja'Tavion Sanders caught 3-of-5 targets for 35 yards in the Panthers 44-38 win over the Falcons.

Sanders will cap off his regular season with a relatively quiet performance. The rookie tallied 342 receiving yards and one touchdown on 33 receptions in 16 games.

All Jr., Erick - CIN

All Jr., Erick

Grandy, Cam - CIN

Grandy, Cam

Moreau, Foster - HOU

Moreau, Foster

Foster Moreau (knee) not participating in OTAs

Foster Moreau is not participating in OTAs as he rehabs from a knee injury.

The same goes for TE Taysom Hill as well. They both underwent surgery to correct their respective knee injuries. They should be fully healthy heading into training camp.

Kincaid, Dalton - BUF

Kincaid, Dalton

A lot of people were expecting big things from Dalton Kincaid in 2024 after his promising rookie season. But Kincaid failed to build on his 2023 numbers and experienced slippage in a number of areas. He went from 42.1 receiving yards per game as a rookie to 34.5 yards per game last year. His catch rate fell from 80.2% to 58.7%. His yards per target slipped from 7.4 to 6.0. On the bright side, Kincaid is a talented former first round pick with a good athletic profile. Josh Allen is one of the NFL's best quarterbacks, but the Bills don't have an abundance of firepower at wide receiver. It's possible Dalton delivers a breakout season in 2025 and establishes himself as an upper-echelon tight end.

Ogletree, Drew - IND

Ogletree, Drew

Wright, Brock - DET

Wright, Brock

Brock Wright catches pass in Week 13

Brock Wright caught his only target for 13 yards in the Lions' 30-23 win over the Bears in Week 13.

Wright has seen minimal involvement on offense, recording one reception or less in nine consecutive games for the Lions. The tight end only holds value if No. 1 option Sam LaPorta is injured, with a Week 14 contest against the Green Bay Packers up next.

Njoku, David - LAC

Njoku, David

Following the best season if his career in 2023, David Njoku missed six games in 2024 with ankle hamstring and knee injuries, and his efficiency plummeted. Njoku finished with 64-505-5 in 11 games last season. He averaged a career-low 7.9 yards per catch and only 5.2 yards per target. But with the right quarterback, Njoku can be a fantasy force. In games he played with QB Jameis Winston last year, Njoku averaged 10.3 targets a game and scored five TDs over a seven-game stretch. He was TE4 in PPR fantasy points per game (16.4) over that period. The Browns' QB situation looks messy for 2025, but one of the candidates to make starts at quarterback is Joe Flacco, who really clicked with Njoku when they played together in Cleveland in 2023. When Flacco made five late-season starts for the Browns that year, Njoku had 30-390-4 and was TE2 in PPR fantasy points per game (18.2) over that span. Njoku could be a value in 2025 fantasy drafts entering his age-29 season, but his fortunes are tied to the Cleveland quarterbacks, which isn't exactly reassuring.

Tonges, Jake - SF

Tonges, Jake

KITTLE, GEORGE - SF

KITTLE, GEORGE

George Kittle tore his right Achilles in the 49ers' Wild Card win over the Eagles on Jan. 11. Kittle says his goal is to play in the 49ers' 2026 season opener against the Rams in Australia, defying the typical recovery timeline for an Achilles tear. It's possible the 32-year-old Kittle misses time early in the season, and it's possible he won't offer the normal Kittle-level production upon his return. But there will be an injury discount on Kittle in 2026 fantasy drafts, and the possibility that he's back to peak form in time for the fantasy playoffs is appealing. Over the last four seasons, Kittle has averaged 4.6 catches, 63.4 yards and 0.5 touchdowns per game. Kittle has been remarkably efficient over his career, averaging 10.0 yards per catch and 2.27 yards per target - better career numbers than superstar WR Ja'Marr Chase in both categories.

Washington, Darnell - PIT

Washington, Darnell

Darnell Washington (arm) placed on IR

The Steelers placed TE Darnell Washington on injured reserve.

Washington underwent surgery on Tuesday. He will miss the rest of this season.

Taylor, Mason - NYJ

Taylor, Mason

Mason Taylor to make 'big step' per HC Aaron Glenn

Jets head coach Aaron Glenn said he expects TE Mason Taylor to make a "big step."

Taylor appeared in 13 games in his rookie season last year, hauling in 44 passes for 369 yards and a touchdown. Glenn said he anticipates "a hell of a year" for Taylor heading into his second season. He could be a target late in drafts for fantasy managers.

Woods, Jelani - NYJ

Woods, Jelani

Stoll, Jack - CLE

Stoll, Jack

LaPorta, Sam - DET

LaPorta, Sam

After finishing TE1 in fantasy scoring as a rookie in 2023, Sam LaPorta has been less productive the last two seasons, although he hasn't been *that* much less productive on a per-game basis, and injuries may partly explain the dip. LaPorta played through a sprained ankle early in the 2024 season and missed one game that November with a sprained AC joint in his shoulder. In 2025, he herniated a disc in his back in Week 10 and missed Detroit's last eight games. After scoring 10 touchdowns as a rookie, LaPorta had seven TDs in 2024 and three in 2025. But LaPorta hit career highs in catch rate (81.6%), yards per target (10.0) and yards per route run (2.00) last season, suggesting there has been no drop-off in his quality of play. But after averaging 7.1 targets per game as a rookie, LaPorta has averaged only 4.9 targets in his 27 regular-season games the last two years. Perhaps he'll see a target uptick under new Lions offensive coordinator Drew Petzing, who was calling the plays in Arizona the last three years while Cardinals TE Trey McBride blossomed into a superstar.

Kraft, Tucker - GB

Kraft, Tucker

Tucker Kraft is coming back from an ACL tear and small meniscus tear that ended his 2025 season after eight games and torpedoed what was shaping up to be a monster season. After a breakout 2024 season in which he had 50 catches for 707 yards and seven touchdowns, Kraft was off to a torrid start last year, with 32 catches for 489 yards and six touchdowns before getting hurt against the Panthers in Week 9. Kraft was TE2 in fantasy scoring behind only Trey McBride when he went down. If Kraft is fully healthy, he could produce big numbers. The Packers have parted ways with WRs Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks, and they didn't add any notable pass catchers in the offseason. Kraft averaged an astounding 2.33 yards per route run last season. He's a beast after the catch who's averaged 8.8 yards after catch per reception over his three-year career. Monitor the news on Kraft's recovery over the summer and be prepared to pounce if he comes with an injury discount in 2026 fantasy drafts.

Hockenson, T.J. - MIN

Hockenson, T.J.

It was only three years ago that TJ Hockenson had 95 catches for 960 yards and five touchdowns. But Hockenson tore the ACL and MCL in his right knee in late December of that 2023 season, and he has yet to regain his old form. Last year, Hockenson had 51 catches for 538 yards and three touchdowns in 15 games. Granted, the Vikings' quarterbacking was substandard, which might help explain why Hockenson averaged a career-low 8.6 yards per catch. The Vikings could conceivably get a QB upgrade with Kyler Murray this season, and TE Trey McBride was Murray's favorite target during his final three years in Arizona. But Hockenson is entering his age-29 season, and he'll have to share targets with WRs Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison. Consider him a low-end TE2 or high-end TE3.
